Summary :
The illicit relationship between Charlotte and Vin takes a serious turn
when Charlotte's husband orders Vin to leave as soon as they arrive at
the home site. When Vin rides off, Charlotte sneaks away to leave with
him. There is no time to look for Vin and Charlotte as Dickie O' Shea
continues to attack the wagon train to gain their land.
Vin learns of reinforcements arriving to help O'Shea and makes Charlotte
return with him to warn the others. The Seven make short of Dickie and
Vin tells Charlotte he changed his mind about running off with her in
the exciting conclusion of Wagon Train.
Memorable Scenes :
Scene One
Scene begins with Vin and Charlotte sharing passionate kisses.
Charlotte expresses concern for her husband and Vin tells her she is
free to go back to him.
Scene Two
Opens with Powder Man singing the doo-dah song, preparing explosives.
Dickie questions the where abouts of his ordered reinforcements.
Buck is playing with the children. Billy finds a wire just as Powder
Man starts to set off the explosives. A series of blasts terrorizes the
settlers and the Regulators do their best to protect and help them.
Nathan tends to the fiddler, who is dying. The fiddler wants Nathan to
take his land. Nathan does not feel right taking it. Ezra hears this,
and does his best to convince Nate to take it.
Scene Three
Charlotte is attacked by three men. Vin saves her, but finds out there
are twenty men on their way to join O'Shea.
Best lines: The "bad guy" makes reference to the homesteaders.
- Charlotte : "That's my husband's land!"
- Bad Guy : "What are you doing him?"
- Vin : "Mind your own business!" (As he smacks the bad guy with his gun)
Vin insists, against Charlotte's objections, that they return to warn
the wagon train.
Scene Four
Mary brings Chris a cup of coffee. Mary tells Chris she is going to
marry Gerrard.
Chris asks her "Do you love him?" When she fails to reply, Chris smiles
and asks,
"A little bit?"
Dickie O'Shea and his men attack. Chris's plan was to bury powder, Buck
and Vin ignite it and the battle is on. Charlotte's husband is shot,
Vin kills the man who shot him. The Seven have prepared too well and
O'Shea's men retreat.
Nathan tends to the wounded husband and Charlotte runs to him.
Scene Five
Gerrard tells Chris that the homesteaders have had enough fighting, they
want to quit. Chris, Mary, and JD can't believe they are giving up.
Gerrard hands over the deed and the wagon train prepares to leave. Out
of ear shot, O'Shea tells Powder Man to "blow them all to hell".
As the wagon train is headed back, Vin and Chris talk. Chris tells Vin
"I need to know I can depend on you Vin" and rides off.
Powder Man is waiting to blow the wagon train sky high. As he dances
about, he kicks a stone. Vin sees the stone, rides up the hill to see
what caused it. He spots the burning fuse and rides for it. The bad
guys start to shoot at Vin, Powder Man throws a stick of TNT at Vin.
The dynamite explodes, sending Vin down the hill.
Buck and JD snuck up on the bad guys while they attacked Vin and they
get the drop on them. Powder Man tries to use dynamite against them.
Buck and JD both shoot Powder Man's supply, exploding it and him.
Chris and Nathan rush to Vin, who says he's okay. Charlotte stays by
her husband's side, which Vin notices.
Gerrard and the men want to go with the Seven, but Chris says no. The
Seven head off after Dickie.
The battle with O' Shea's men is over quickly, with the Seven easily
defeating them thanks to some dynamite and Eugene's sling shot, which
Ezra "borrowed". In the battle, Chris shoots Dickie O'Shea and kills
him.
Scene Six
The homesteaders are settling in....
Josiah tells the widow, who wants Josiah to stay about his vow of
"celibacy and silence". She quickly changes her mind.
Charlotte tells Vin she wants to leave with him. Vin tells her he's
changed his mind and she should stay with her husband.
