• Micheal Biehn (Chris Larabee) - Pony, a 15.2 black Quarter Horse, 14 yrs old
• Anthony Starke (Ezra Standish) - Chester (1st season), a chesnut Quarter Horse
  - Hemp (2nd season), a 15.1 hand sorrel Quarter Horse, 6 yrs old
• Dale Midkiff (Buck Wilmington) - Beavis, a 15.1 hand gray Quarter Horse, 8 yrs old
• Rick Worthy (Nathan Jackson) - Buster (1st season - Rick had 3 horses, he mentioned they had trouble finding one tall enough, as he is 6'3")
  - Weasel (2nd season), a 15.2 hand bay Thoroughbred x Quarter Horse, 12 yrs old
• Ron Perlman (Josiah Sanchez) - Quincy, a 16 hand sorrel Quarter Horse, 10 yrs old
• Eric Close (Vin Tanner) - Quinn (part of 1st season), a 15.1 hand black Quarter Horse, 14 yrs old
  - Peso (part of 1st season, 2nd season), a 15.2 hand black Quarter Horse, 8 yrs old
  - Jake was ridden at the end of "Wagon Train"
• Andrew Kavovit (JD Dunne) - Milagro (named for the movie "Milagro Beanfield War"), a 15.1 bay Quarter Horse, 12 yrs old
• Laurie Holden (Mary Travis) - Segin , a 15 hand dark bay Quarter Horse, approx 17 yrs old.
